The National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes hit in Wright County during Tuesday’s storms. This is very unusual for Wright County. Only one injury was reported and the victim didn’t require transport to the hospital.
An EF1 tornado hit near Macomb around 7:30 p.m. It packed wind speeds of 105 miles-per-hour. The track lasted about a mile-and-a-half. It damaged a saw mill and numerous trees.
A EF1 tornado storm hit near Norwood. The storm packed winds of 105 miles-per-hour. It tracked two miles long. It damaged numerous trees and destroyed a barn.
A EF1 tornado hit around the Dawson area. It then tracked into neighboring Texas County. It damaged a mobile home, outbuildings and several trees.
A tornado then hit around the Mountain Grove area just before 8 p.m. The EF0 storm packed wind speeds of 84 miles-per-hour. It stayed on the ground for about two-and-a-half miles. It too snapped several trees and did minor damage to a home.
And a small EF0 tornado briefly hit around the Hartville area around 9:27. The tornado damages roofs and mobile homes.
